Anti-CAA protests: Additional DCP injured in stone-pelting in Delhi; latest updates

Massive protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act are being reported from across the nation where protesters have clashed with police. Here are the latest updates:

Cop Injured:

The Additional DCP Rohit Rajbir Singh on Friday received injuries in the stone-pelting which took place during the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) near Seemapuri.


Metro stations Closed:

The Entry and exit gates of Mandi House and Janpath metro stations have been closed due to the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Interchange facility is available at Mandi House.

Earlier, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has closed the entry and exit gates of Johri Enclave, Shiv Vihar and Dilshad Garden are closed. Trains will not be halting at this station.

Entry, exit gates of Mandi House and Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Pragati Maidan, Khan Market, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Jaffrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur, Jamia Millia Islamia, Johri Enclave, Shiv Vihar and Dilshad Garden will remain closed due to widespread demonstrations against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Delhi.

Jamia students offer roses to Police:

Students of Jamia Millia Islamia university offered roses to police personnel, deployed for security.
