Allahabad babu caught urinating at Triveni Sangam, pictures go viral
While the Uttar Pradesh government is busy 'saving' river Ganga from pollution and industrial waste, Allahabad's additional district magistrate OP Srivastava was caught on camera, urinating in the Sangam of Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati. Ironically, Srivastava was seen wearing a 'Clean Ganga' t-shirt while committing the unholy act.
A senior officer of the UP government was also present at the Triveni Sangam for a press meet regarding the ongoing preparations for the Triveni Mahotsav, an annual cultural extravaganza. Triveni is considered a sacred place by Hindus.
The grand event is scheduled to begin on 23 February.
The incident happened a day after 'Magh Purninma' when thousands of devotees took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam.
A probe has been ordered after pictures of the act went viral on the internet.
