After the horrific mass molestation on New Year's eve, another case of molestation has surfaced in Bengaluru.
According to media reports, a burqa-clad woman was allegedly attacked and molested on Friday morning in the residential area of North Bengaluru's KG Haali.
The Kadugondanahalli police has said that the incident took place between 6.15 to 6.25 am, when the victim was on her way to work.
The unidentified man attacked the woman from behind and forced her not to shout. However, the victim managed to raise an alarm which alerted people nearby, forcing the attacker to flee.
The victim has suffered minor injuries on her hands, legs and tongue in the attack.
"The girl regularly walks along the Road to catch a bus to Koramangala, where she is employed as a Sales Assistant in a start up. On Friday however, the guy followed and allegedly molested her, resulting in some injuries," K G Halli police said, according to an Indian Express report.
"While the injuries on her tongue were self inflicted due to shock and fear, minor injuries to her arm and leg were caused as the accused pushed the victim to the ground," the police added.
The police are now examining the CCTV footage to nab the culprit.
