Golden Globes 2016 red carpet: Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence, Sam Smith, Kate Hudson dazzle

Some of the biggest international TV and film stars paraded down the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, the venue of the 2016 Golden Globes. The star-studded event saw celebs dressed in some of their best and posing for shutterbugs on the red carpet with much elan.

Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Hudson, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lopez, Leonard Di Caprio, Eddy Redmayne, Sam Smith are just a few names who descended at the place and rocked one of the most awaited glamorous nights.

Jennifer Lawrence

It was a layered bright red Dior number for Jennifer Lawrence. The outfit had cut-away sides and Jennifer accompanied it with a statement diamond neckpiece, a side-parted tied hairdo and matching lips.

Ms Lawrence bagged the Best Actress in a motion picture - comedy for Joy.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez walked the red carpet wearing a striking yellow Giambattista Valli gown that had a thigh-high slit. Lopez matched her sunny coloured dress with all things diamond -- neckpiece, shoes, clutch and a bracelet.

She also matched her dark glossy lips with the colour of her nails.

Kate Hudson

Making it her one of the most memorable red carpet outings was Kate Hudson, who wore a cut-out Michael Kors dress at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards.

The nude sparkly dress exposed her perfectly toned abs and she completely stunned all with this ravishing red carpet appearance.

Kate Winslet

For Kate Winslet, who received the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Steve Jobs, it was a blue Ralph Lauren outfit.

She kept the styling simple by wearing a diamond bracelet, drop earrings and nude makeup.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry made sure that all eyes remained on her as she walked the red carpet in a plunging Prada gown. Her bouffant hairdo added that retro touch to her look.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney

She won the best actress in a limited series or motion picture for her role as the countess in American Horror Story: Hotel. Lady Gaga wore a custom-made black velvet Atelier Versace gown.

Gaga's Marilyn Monroe-inspired red carpet appearance was completed with a faux bob and diamond bracelets on both her hands. She was accompanied by fiance Taylor Kinney.

The track Writing's On the Wall, sung by Grammy winner Sam Smith for Spectre, won the best original song while the best original score award was won by Ennio Morricone for The Hateful Eight.

Actor Matt Damon who took home the award for best actor in a motion picture - comedy for The Martian, arrived with wife Luciana Barroso.
