Dusshera festival is the symbol of victory of good and loses of bad, we burn king Ravana's statue to celebrate the festival. Although in mythological books, we always have read that Ravana was a bad asura and he deserved to be getting killed by Lord Ram.

However, in Sri Lanka, the tradition is totally opposite and they worship king Ravana, but you will get shocked to know that there are some places in India where people used to worship Ravana. Here are we have brought you the five temples of Ravana in India, and it will be a pleasure to visit there on this Dussehra weekend.

1. Ravana Mandir Bisrakh, Uttar Pradesh

Bisrakh village, Uttar Pradesh is believed to be the birthplace of king Ravana. A new temple is being named on Ravana with a 42 feet Shiva Linga and a 5.5 feet statue of Ravana.

2. Dashana Ravana Temple, Kanpur

This Kanpur temple has a tradition of worshipping of Dashana Ravana on the occasion of Dussehra. The temple is situated nearby Shiva temple in Shivala area of the city.

3. Ravangram Ravana Temple, Madhya Pradesh

Here the devotees worship King Ravana with the 10 feet idol. There is some tradition of the worship in this temple.

4. Kakinada Ravana Temple, Andhra Pradesh

Kakinada is the only city in Andhra Pradesh, where Ravan used to be worshipped and one idol of Ravana is situated nearby lord Shiva.

5. Jodhpur Ravan Mandir, Rajasthan

Maudgil Brahmins of Jodhpur are the ancient devotees of Ravana and then even have made a temple of demon king in Jodhpur. There are lots of idols of Ravana in that temple.
