West Bengal: Bomb discovered in Falaknuma Express at Howrah railway station

Howrah railway station came to a halt today after a bomb was recovered from the Falaknuma Express. The crude bomb was found by a team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who later informed the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).

The BDS rushed to the spot and has taken the bomb to an isolated area. The Squad is trying to deactivate the explosive.

The spot was cleared after the bomb was placed in a cylinder by the BDS for a controlled explosion.

Howrah railway station is the oldest and largest railway complex in India. It has the highest train-handling capacity of any railway station in the country and is always crowded.
