Air India had to face another embarrassment today after its Delhi-Hong Kong flight had to make an emergency landing after a technical snag at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata.

Following the emergency landing, 100 passengers of the flight are protesting and raising slogans against Air India.

The company is often criticised for its ignorance and poor maintenance of the aircrafts.

Recently on 7 September, five passengers were left injured during evacuation when a wheel of an Air India plane with 159 people onboard caught fire while landing under emergency conditions at the Indira Gandhi International Airport following hydraulic failure.

In May, A Delhi-Bhubaneswar Air India flight had made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport with 169 passengers onboard. All the passengers were safe after the landing.

The flight had to make an emergency landing as there was minor crack in the windshield forcing the pilot to land at Lucknow airport.

Further details are awaited.
