Mumbai: Woman asked man to stripped naked on video call

A woman allegedly extorted money from a 25-year-old private company employee in Mumbai.

According to media reports, the man has registered a complaint against a woman stating that she had allegedly extorted Rs 37,000 from him after falling in the trap of love.


He alleged that the woman asked him to go nude during a WhatsApp video call. However, the woman recorded the video call and started blackmailing him.

The victim is the resident of Mumbai’s Bhayander locality. In his complaint, the 25-year-old man said that he got a call from an unknown woman in July. Soon, she started chatting with him every day. The man fell in love with the woman.

The complainant said that he was stripped naked on the video call after trusting her blindly.

However, she recorded the video and started threatening him to circulate the video if didn’t pay her money. She demanded Rs 50,000 from him.

The victim man also alleged that he also received threats from a man who claimed to a CBI agent. After some negotiation, the two miscreants agreed on Rs 37,000.

the 25-year-old man said that he transferred the money to an e-wallet number that the woman had given her, according to a report by The Times of India.

The victim further told that even after giving Rs 37,000, the miscreants were demanding more amount.

The man approached the Utan police and lodged a complaint. Meanwhile, police have registered a case against two an anonymous person for cheating, extortion and criminal intimidation.
