A horrifying video has surfaced of a Samajwadi Party politician and his son being gunned down by two men in Uttar Pradesh. The shooting happened today in a village in Sambhal district, which is over 379 km from Lucknow.

The incident came off following an argument over a road being constructed under the MNREGA scheme.

SP leader Chote Lal Diwakar and his son Sunil had gone to examine the road which cuts across a field in the area. There they had an argument with the two other men who appeared to be from the same village. The two men were holding rifles. One of the men is a local, who is identified as Savinder.

These men who shot the father and son were angry because the road being constructed under the MNREGA scheme was going past their fields.

The two men with the rifles shot at the father and the son following a long argument over this issue, involving verbal abuses and threats.

Chote Lal Diwakar and his son lost their lives on the spot.

No arrests have been made in the case so far. The police stated that they will make arrests soon.
