Maharashtra: Shopkeeper arrested for allegedly raping two minor girls after luring them with chocolates in Nagpur

A shopkeeper in Nagpur’s Umred area was taken into custody for allegedly raping two minor girls after luring them with chocolates, police stated on Monday. The accused has been recognized as 31-year-old Darshan Kale, a resident of Piraya village, an official stated.

"Kale is accused of raping a seven-year-old girl who went to the shop on Sunday to purchase a shampoo sachet, as well as an eight-year-old who witnessed the crime. He lured them with chocolates," a Kanhan police station official stated.


Darshan Kale has been indicted under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act, the official stated.
