Delhi: Man looted by gang of two in Baljeet Nagar amid lockdown [Watch]

With the ongoing lockdown across the nation, it is recommended to stay indoors not just to save yourself for the deadly Covid-19 but also from looters that are looking for opportunities. One such case has come to light from the national capital where a man was robbed by a gang of two in Baljeet Nagar area near Kuwar Singh Chowk. The incident that happened on 14th April was captured in CCTV footage and one of the accused has been taken into custody by the Delhi Police.

In accordance with the CCTV footage, two young men were looking for possible target at a narrow street in Delhi’s Baljeet Nagar. One of them was seating on a bike parked close to a house while another was walking on the street. Just as the two of them saw a man coming, they held him, caught is neck and tried to choke him.


 

They took money and mobile from the victim and took off. One of them has been taken into custody by the police. Another passerby, who saw the crime being committed, can be seen running after them. The victim was in an unconscious state for some time but now he is a stable condition.

The nationwide lockdown has harmed predominantly those who were reliant on daily wages for their living, hence in a situation like this, people are suggested to stay extremely wary and shouldn’t step out from their homes as many other gangs may be eyeing to execute such crimes.
