Delhi: 30-year-old son files complaint against father after his father refuses to stay indoor amid lockdown

During a 21-day nationwide lockdown, not only Police but families are also facing challenges to keep their family members in the house. One such case has come to light from the national capital where a son filed a complaint against his father who is not following the lockdown guidelines and venture out of the home every day.

Delhi police have registered an FIR against the father of man on the basis of his complaint.


According to media reports, the 30-year-old man is a resident of Rajokari locality in South West Delhi. He claimed in the complaint that he had told his father several times to stay home due to the spread of coronavirus and the lockdown in the country. But, his 59-year-old father was not listening to him and went out to walk every day at 8 pm in the street.

 

After his complaint, the police team arrived at the 30-year-old man’s residence and discovered that the complainant was repeatedly asking his father to get inside the house but he was not ready to listen to him.

Meanwhile, police filed an FIR against man’s father and booked him under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for violating the lockdown orders.

Earlier on March 24, PM Modi announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown to curb the further spread of COVID-19 pandemic across the country.
