Ahmedabad: Man brutally assaulted by two men one of whom was posing to be police on coronavirus duty

A man was allegedly brutally assaulted by two men, one of whom, was posing to be a cop on coronavirus duty. The incident happened in Ahmedabad’s Naroda area when the victim had gone out to buy milk.

The victim identified as Khushal Parmar. According to him, only one of the accused wes wearing a police uniform.


The victim on Thursday, had gone out of his house as he wanted to buy milk for his family. During this time, two men arrived on a motercycle and asked Kushal why he was out of his house during the lockdown.

When Khushal told the two men that he had come out to buy milk, the accused beat him with sticks and then fled from the spot. After returning home, Khushal realised that the men who had thrashed him were posing as policemen.

As stated by a report in TOI, the victim’s neighbours also told him that they had also been attacked by two men and one of them was dressed as a policeman. After this, Khushal decided to approach the police.

A senior official working at the Naroda police station stated that they are checking the CCTV footage of the neaarby areas to arrest the two accused. A coomplaint has been lodged in relation to the matter.
