In pictures: Day 2 of IIC's Festival of the Arts
The second day of the 5 day Festival of the Arts at India International Centre (IIC) started with a soulful recital marking the birth centenary of MS Subbulakshmi.
The hall was packed with lovers of Carnatic music enjoying this perfect start to a Sunday morning. Titled \'Born to Sing: A Shy Girl from Madurai\', MS\' story was told through music and a narrative by Gowri Ramnarayan.
This was followed by a fascinating live music performance to fill in the silence of a 40 minute Italian silent film from 1916 called Cenere.
Day two also saw a form of comic musical theatre in Hindi performed by National School of Drama Repertory Company. Ghazab Teri Adaa, a 105 minute fare, marks the centenary of World War I and serves as a tribute to the martyrs of war.
