American rapper Nicki Minaj's wax statue at Madame Tussauds, Las Vegas has become one of the most popular additions in the attraction. The, inspired from her music video, Anaconda became the talk of the town after some tourists took lewd pictures with the fixture.
Unveiled earlier this month, the statue took nearly six months and 300 body measurements. As promotional activity, Madame Tussauds launched a selfie contest with the statue.
After some of the more inappropriate photos went viral on social media, the museum issued a statement calling the behaviour unfortunate. "We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again," the statement read.
Although Minaj hasn't responded to this controversy, she had called the statue 'iconic' when it was released.
