Even after Donald Trump's controversial policies on LGBT issues, US Olympian Caitlyn Jenner does not regret her decision to vote for him.
The reality TV star, while giving an interview to CNN said, 'As far as LGBT issues, yes, he's made some mistakes. I don't support him in everything that he does. But we needed to shake the system up.'
The 'I Am Cait' star came out as transgender two years ago in an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer and revealed that she had 'soul of a female.'
Even at the time, the 67-year-old reality star was on the side of the Republicans, despite the party's anti-LGBT stand.
She also stated that she is still a Republican and believes Trump is the man 'we need to turn this country around.'
'To, you know, to have career politicians constantly, the Clintons, the Bushes, run this country. We need to get outside that box and shake things up again,' Jenner noted.
But, she also criticized the current US administration when they withdrew Obama era guidance protecting transgender students from discrimination in public schools and called the decision a disaster. Jenner has also written a memoir, ' The Secrets of My Life' on what the past two years have been like for her.
