Watch: Louis van Gaal's post-match rant at journalist after United's 1-1 draw against Chelsea

It didn't finish according to plan for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, 7 February, when Diego Costa equalised late for Chelsea to deny United all three points from the game.

Instead, United came away with just a solitary point to show for what was a dominating performance against the defending champions. With the draw, United's hopes of finishing in the top 4 took a major hit.

In the post-match press conference, a frustrated Van Gaal was asked by a journalist to comment on the media speculations linking Jose Mourinho to the United managerial job. This immediately drew the Dutchman's ire.

The United manager accused the journalist of inventing the story, and asked him whether he had spoken to the club's hierarchy.

The 64-year-old went on to add that it was the journalist himself who would be getting the sack the next morning, drawing a few laughs from mediapersons present in the room.
