Watch: Liverpool book their date with Wembley after penalty shootout win against Stoke

Liverpool won their Capital One Cup semifinal second leg against Stoke City at Anfield to reach the final at Wembley Stadium. The reds will play the winner of Manchester City vs Everton in the final.

Trailing 0-1 from the first leg, Marko Arnautovic scored for Stoke to cancel out Liverpool's one goal advantage but the Potters could not hold their nerve during the penalty shootout after it ended 1-1 on aggregate at the full time whistle.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet - who has come under criticism lately - was the hero for the home team as he saved Peter Crouch and Marc Muniesa's spot kicks.

In the end it was left to Joe Allen to score the winning penalty for Liverpool and he made no mistake, coolly slotting the ball in the top right corner of the goal.
