UCL: Man City hold Ronaldo-less Real Madrid to goalless stalemate

Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to sit on the bench as Real Madrid played out a goalless draw against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League on 27 April.
The Portuguese international was ruled out of the game after failed to recover from a thigh strain and in his absence the visitors were unable to convert a slew of good chances they had created, Sport24 reported.
City goalkeeper Joe Hart once again rose to the occasion as he produced two demonstrations of the razor-sharp reflexes to keep alive their hopes of reaching the final ahead of next week's return leg at the Bernabeu.
