UPSC Mains 2016 results to be declared soon @upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Main exam 2016 results are expected to be declared soon on the official website: upsc.gov.in. The exam was held from 3 to 9 December, 2016, at various centers across the country.

The commission has declared the results of UPSC Mains 2015 by mid-January.

The results will reveal the names of shortlisted candidates who'll then appear for the next round of selections, that is, personal interview.

For 2016, the UPSC notified a total of 1079 vacancies in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and etc.

Here's how to check UPSC Mains Exam result 2016:

1. Visit the official website upsc.gov.in.

2. Now keep the cursor on the 'Examination' on the home page, and select 'Active Examinations'

3. Next, click on 'Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2016'

4. Click on "Results"

Candidates expressed doubts over the framing of proposition in English and Hindi when the UPSC main exams were conducted in December 2016. Later, the commission clarified that it will accept different versions of the answers to the essay paper. The UPSC test paper essay carries 125 marks.
