UP Board Class 10th, 12th Result 2020: Two prisoners become toppers; 209 inmates appear for board exams

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) Prayagraj has declared the results of classes 10th and 12th on its official website on June 27. This year, over 56.11 lakh students had appeared for the high school and intermediate examinations.

The result for both classes 10th and 12th was announced by the Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma at 12 pm via a press conference in Lucknow’s Lok Kalyan Bhawan.


As per Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, this year's result is better than last year's result.

This year, some prisoners also appeared in UP Board 10th and class 12th exams.

Reportedly, 114 prisoners from 114 districts of Uttar Pradesh filled the forms for class 10th board exams. There were a total of 93 inmates appeared for high school exams, out of which 86 have passed the examination. All prisoners who took class 10th exams were male.

While in class XII board exam, 95 prisoners had filled the examination form, out of the total only 75 appeared for the exam. As per media reports, out of 75 examinees, two were women prisoners who also appeared for their intermediate exam. Out of the total inmates, 63 could clear the examination.

According to reports, a total 209 inmates appeared for the UP Board class 10th and class 12th exams.

According to reports in Aaj Tak, a prisoner named Arun from Ghaziabad’s district jail has scored 70.8%. While prisoner named Shiv Pratap Singh from Varanasi Central Jail has obtained 76.5% marks in UP Board 10th exams.

According to media reports, this year, the Yogi government will give a laptop and Rs 1 lakh as a token of appreciation to toppers of Class 10th and Class 12th. This year, Class 10th topper is Riya Jain from Baghpat, who bagged the first position with 96.67% marks. While Anurag Malik topped class 12th with 97% marks.
