UGC NET July Result Announced: Over 50,000 candidates qualified the CBSE’s Assistant Professor post exam; know how to check your merit

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) exam result yesterday i.e. 31st August. Therefore, candidates who are waiting for their results can check now. However, before releasing the NET July exam result, CBSE has released the answer keys of the exam on 24tth July and candidates were allowed to challenge it till 27th July.

According to the reports of TOI, out of the total students, only 55,000 candidates have qualified the examination. Reportedly, this is the highest-ever number of candidate, who qualify the examination. Earlier, there were 38,000 candidates have qualified the CBSE UGC NET Exam.


This year, CBSE has also introduced changes in the exam pattern as for the first time, only 2 papers- Paper I and Paper II have been conducted instead of 3.

Candidates who have qualified the UGC NET exam are eligible for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in the subject of their post-graduation or selected students can also apply for the post of assistant professor.

1. Open the official website of CBSE at cbsenet.nic.in
2. Check out the link for UGC NET July exam result 2018
3. Submit your registration id and password to download your result
4. After submitting your details, your result will appear on the official website
5. Download your UGC NET July Result 2018
6. Take a print out for future references

CBSE has released the UGC NET exam which was conducted on 8th July 2018.

However, from next year, the UGC NET July examination will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency), not by CBSE.

This year, over 11 lakh candidates had appeared for the eligibility test across 91 cities. The examination was conducted in 84 different subjects.
