UGC NET 2019 Exam: NTA releases June exam notification; submit your application form now

National Testing Agency, NTA has released the notification form the UGC NET June 2019 examination on its official website. The online application process for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) exam has started on 1st March.

Candidates who are waiting for the application form can submit their forms now at the official website, ntanet.nic.in.


This is the second time when the National Testing Agency is conducting the exam of UGC NET after the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE.

HRD Ministry has announced earlier in 2018 that NTA would conduct the UGC NET examination and also the examination will be a computer-based test. Also, instead of three papers, NTA has conducted only two paper of UGC NET in two shifts/

However, the online application process will close on 30th March.

Candidates can submit their application form before the closing of the application window.
NET would be conducted in 84 subjects at 91 selected cities. Candidates who are pursuing post graduation or who have already passed their post graduation can apply for the UGC NET June exam.

UGC NET examination is held for the selection of Assistant Professor post only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both.

NTA will conduct UGC NET June examination on different dates likewise the examinations were held in December 2018.

UGC NET will start from June 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2019 in multiple sessions.

To submit your application form, candidates should visit the official website of NTA UGC NET at   nta.ac.in or ntanet.nic.in.

Educational Qualification:

Applicants who are applying for UGC NET June exam, must have secured 55 per cent marks in their Master's degree course from recognised universities/institutions.

Application Form Fee:

  • For General or unreserved category: Rs 800
  • For other backward classes: Rs 400
  • For reserved category: Rs 200
