Supreme Court bans Technical education via correspondence courses

In a major development, the Supreme Court on 3 November has given the verdict that technical education will not be provided through correspondence courses from now on.

The Supreme Court has restrained the educational institutes from providing the technical courses like engineering and others that too in the distance education mode.

The apex court hailed the decision of Haryana and Punjab Court on the issue against distance education in the technical courses. The top court is against the Odisha High Court that allowed the technical education through correspondence.

This is to notice that two years ago, Punjab and Haryana High Court ruled out a degree in Computer Science through a distance education and they clearly said that it will not be same as the person who is attending the regular college.
