With just six days to go for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) result 2016, tensions are running high. The results will be declared on 8 November 2016.
Meanwhile, the commission has released the answer key of the re-examination of the CGLE (Tier I) 2016, for the second shift batch of 27 August 2016 - which was re-conducted on 27 November at few centres.
More than 25 lakh aspirants applied for the SSC CGLE Tier I in 2016. Of this, 14,25,234 candidates appeared for the exam.

The SSC was earlier known as the Subordinate Services Commission. The SSC CGL Exam is held annually for the recruitment of Group B and C posts in various ministries and departments of the government.
It is conducted in three phases Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3.
Once results of Tier I exam are out, shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Tier II exams.
Tier II will be a written entrance test comprising multiple-choice, objective type questions. After results of Tier II, another level of tests will be held. Tier III could be a computer proficiency test or a skill test or just a document verification process.
In a notification,
SSC chairman Ashim Khurana - IAS officer and former UPSC Secretary -
has said that final result of SSC CGLE - 2016 will be declared by the end of April 2017.
"The candidates can rest assured that the selection process through this examination, which is to be conducted in four Tiers, would be entirely merit based wherein only the most competent candidates would be selected to man important positions in the Government of India," stated a notice on the official website.
