PM Modi led government has given a major relief to the students who want to get jobs in Regional Rural Banks (RRB). As of now, the RRB’s Scale-I officers and Office Assistant exam in RRB will be conducted in 13 regional languages.

Apart from conducting exams in Hindi and English, now aspirants will be able to appear for the examination for Scale-I officers and office assistants in 13 regional languages too.

Earlier on Thursday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this decision in Lok Sabha. She also added that with the addition of 13 regional languages, it will help the students in getting the jobs in RRBs.

This decision was taken after Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy requested the Union Minister and asked the government to have a re-look into the clause of language proficiency.

Also, Karnataka MPs both from BJP and Congress had joined the issue and raise the demand in Parliament.

Now, candidates who have studied local languages upto 10 class are eligible for the posts.

On Thursday, Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy also thanked Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the decision on conducting the exam in 13 regional languages.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “I thank finance minister @nsitharaman for responding to our request to allow banking job aspirants from the state to write bank recruitment tests in #Kannada. Rural candidates will be largely benefitted by this.”
