RRB NTPC Exam Date 2019: From exam pattern to selection process; here’s what you should know about CBT phase 1

The Railway Recruitment Board or RRB will soon to conduct its another Computer Based Test for the position of RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories. Candidates who will qualify the exam will be recruited for the posts of Commercial Apprentice, Enquiry cum Reservation Clerk, Goods Guard, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, and Senior Time Keeper.

This year, RRB has invited a total of 35,208 vacancies to fill the vacant seats under NTPC posts.


As per the scheduled, RRB will conduct the CBT in between the month of June and September. The selection for the post will be done in two stages.
Candidates who will qualify RRB NTPC CBT Phase 1 exam will be called for RRB NTPC Phase 2 exam.

A.) RRB NTPC CBT will be divided into three sections:

1. Mathematics
2. General Intelligence and Reasoning
3. General Awareness

B.) RRB NTPC CBT Phase 2 Exam Pattern:

1. Mathematics
2. General Intelligence and Reasoning
3. General Awareness

Candidates will have to appear for the various stage exam to get selected for the post of RRB NTPC.

1. Candidates who have applied for the post will have to appear for the first stage Computer Based Test.

2. Aspirants who will clear the first stage exam will be eligible to appear for the second stage exam (For Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice posts).

3. Typing Skill Test:

After qualifying two stages, aspirants will have to appear for typing skill test ( For Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper posts).

4. Computer-Based Aptitude Test-

Candidates who have applied for the post Station Master and Traffic Assistant posts will have to appear for the test

5. Document Verification

6. Medical Examination
