NTA NEET 2019 Exam: Confirmed! May 5 NEET exam postponed for centres in Odisha in wake of Cyclone Fani

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scheduled for May 5 has been postponed for Odisha, in a wake of ‘extreme serve’ Cyclone Fani. The report has been confirmed through a notice issued by the official.

According to TimesNow reports, the exam has been postponed for the examination centres in Odisha. The schedule for the NEET 2019 examination for all the other state will remain unchanged.


As per the official announcement, "NEET exam scheduled for 5th May in #Odisha postponed as per the request of State Govt working on relief and rehabilitation work in the wake of #FaniCyclone. Revised dates for the exam in Odisha will be announced soon," R. Subrahmanyam, Higher Education Secretary said.

The message was tweeted a few minutes ago by ANI. An official notification would be released by NTA on the official website ntaneet.nic.in soon. 

All the applicants appearing for NEET 2019 examination are advised to download the revised NEET 2019 admit card. Notably, the revised admit card will carry details of the 2019 NEET exam centres or venue, address and the code.

Odisha has seven NEET exam centres for the year 2019. The NEET 2019 examination centres are Angul (3601), Balasore/Baleswar (3602), Behrampur (3603), Bhubaneshwar 3604, Cuttack (3605), Rourkela (3606), Sambalpur (3607). The complete list is available on ntaneet.nic.in. NEET would be conducted in pen and paper format across the country tomorrow from 2 pm to 5 pm.
