Lok Sabha Elections 2019: KCET releases revised schedule for Common Entrance Test; know new dates of exam

The dates for Lok Sabha elections 2019 has been announced by Election Commission of India on Sunday (10th March) at 5 pm. On the other hand, several board exams and competitive exam which were falling on the dates of elections have been postponed by the Board.

Recently, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has postponed the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2019 and now, it has released the revised schedule for the KCET exam 2019 on its official website.


Now, the KCET exam will be held on 29th and 30th April and the language test will be held on 5th May 2019.

Check out the official notification released by KEA:

‘In view of the announcement of the schedule of Loksabha Elections 2019 by the Election Commission of India on April 10, 2109, the government of Karnataka has directed the KEAR to conduct the CET-2109 exam on new dates," read the KEA official notification.

KEA has also extended the last date for the submission of the application form of the KCET. Now, candidates can submit their application form till 20th March.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority every year.

Candidates who will clear the entrance test will be eligible to take the admission to the courses in engineering, technology, farm science, pharmacy, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani and Homeopathy), architecture, medicine and dentistry for the new academic year.

Therefore, it is mandatory for the aspirants who want to take admission to the medical and dental courses should qualify the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

On the other hand, candidates who wanted to take admission to the Architecture should have appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) paper 2 or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture which is conducted by the Council of Architecture.
