India Post Recruitment 2019: Vacancies for over 1000 Gramin Dak Sevaks posts; know who can apply

The India Post has invited application forms for over 1000 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) vacancies on its official website. Applicants who are interested in this recruitment drive can submit their application form available on the India Post official website.

As per the notification, India Post has released a total 1,735 vacancies for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Seva in three postal circles- Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand.


Know who can apply:

Candidates who have passed class 10th can apply for the vacancies released by India Post.

Check Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

Candidates should be in the age bracket of 18 years to 40 years. The reserved category aspirants will get the age relaxation of 5 years for SC/S and 3 years for OBC respectively.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have passed at least 10th board examinations with Mathematics and English as a subject.

Candidates can apply for a maximum of twenty posts.

Vacancy Details:

India Post invited a total of 1,735 Gramin Dak Sevaks posts in three postal circles Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand.

Check region-wise vacancy:

  • Jharkhand Circle – 804 Posts
  • Delhi Circle – 174 Posts
  • HP Circle – 757 Posts

Application process:

The application form for the post has begun from 6th June and the last date to apply for the vacancy is 5th July.

Application Fee:

The application fee for the vacancy is Rs 100 for unreserved/OBC/EWS male applicant for each set of five choices. While women aspirants are exempted from paying the application fee.

After filling up the application form, candidates can send it to their nearest Head Post Office.
