IIFT 2016 exam to be held on 27 November, application deadline set for 5 September

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has announced its admission process for MBA (International Business) 2017-19 for its New Delhi and Kolkata centres.

The IIFT exam will be held on Sunday, 27 November 2016, from 10 am - 12 pm. The last date for registration (online/ by cash/ by post) and receipt of applications is Monday, 5 September 2016.

The last date for obtaining prospectus and receipt of applications for Foreign Nationals/NRIs/children of NRIs is Wednesday, 15 February, 2017.

The registration fees is Rs 1,550 for General and OBC candidates, Rs 775 while for SC/ST/PH candidates and $80 (Rs 4,500) for Foreign Nationals/NRI/children of NRI candidates.

IIFT, one of the top business schools of the country, selects students on the basis of written test, followed by group discussion, essay writing and personal interview.

"Based on the marks of Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for second phase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai," states an official notification.

The entrance test will be held at the following places: Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

IIFT Test Pattern

The IIFT exam is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English) held over a duration of two hours. The test covers English Comprehension, General Knowledge and Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
