The University of Delhi has released its second cut-off list for admission to various undergraduate courses (based on merit) of the University for new academic session 2019-20 on July 3. The second cut off list released after the first round of admissions process got concluded by the varsity.
Now, for the remaining left seats, DU has released the second cut-off list and there is a marginal dip in the percentage criteria required for the admission.
Surprisingly, Hindu college which set the record of releasing the highest cut off at 99% for BA (Hons) political science course has closed its admission process on all seats, except EWS (economically weaker section) category.
As per the notification, the second cut-off for EWS category aspirants recorded at 97.75%. Reports suggested that upto 84 students have taken admission to the courses under this category.
Also, Hindu college has closed admissions for Honours courses like BA in English, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit and Sociology for the unreserved category.
The majority of North Campus colleges have closed their admissions process in the first round of admissions for Political Science for unreserved category.
Also, some of the colleges have closed admissions for courses like English (Honours) and Psychology.
The colleges like Miranda have closed the admissions for B.A. political science at 98% and admitted 110 students. Also, Lady Shri Ram Collge closed at 98%, 166 students got admission here.
Kirori Mal (96%) 287 students, Ramjas (97%) 181 students, and Gargi (96%) 155 students among others.
In second cut off list, only a drop of 0.5 to 1 per cent has notified by the colleges for these courses in reserved categories.
Reportedly, Over 27,000 students had already taken admission in the first cut off list.
