Delhi Government releases Nursery Admission Schedule 2017

Delhi Government on Thursday released the admission process dates for entry level classes (Nursery/KG or Prep/1st Standard).

The goverment stated that admission in All Private Unaided Recognized Schools (except 298 schools which have been allotted government land with the express clause of giving admission to children of neighbourhood/locality) commenced on 2 January, 2017.

2 January: Commencement of admission process

2 January: Commencement for availability of application forms for admission

23 January: Last date of submission of application forms in school

31 January: Last date to upload details of children who applied to the school for admission under open seats

6 February: Uploading marks (as per point system) given to each child who applied for admission

15 February: Display of first list of selected candidates along with marks alloted under point system (including Wait List)

16 to 18 February: Resolution of queries of parents, if any (by written / email / verbal interaction) regaring allotment of points to their ward in first list

28 February: Display of second list of selected candidates along with marks alloted under point system (including Wait List)

31 March: Closure of admission process




"The total number of Entry Level Seats (which includes Nursery/KG or Prep/1st Standard) and clear cut criteria as described have to be displayed by the schools on their websites & notice boards in a transparent manner," stated a release from the education department.

"The schools must transparently declare & display the list of short listed children along with breakup of marks allotted on each criterion. For clarification of grievances/doubts of parents, specific time has been given from 16th to 18th February, 2017," it further added.
