CAT 2020: Registration process to start next week; check exam schedule

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) has released the schedule for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2020) on its official website. Interested and eligible candidates should keep their eyes on the website.

As per the official notification, the online registration for CAT will begin on August 5, 2020.

The application form for the CAT exam will be submitted at iimcat.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form is on or before September 16, 2020, until 5 pm.

Once the application process starts, candidates who want to appear in CAT 2020, can register themselves before the closing of the registration window.

The admit card for CAT 2020 examination will be released on October 28, 2020. Candidates without admit card will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Therefore, candidates should not forget to carry their hall tickets on the day of the examination.

IIM will conduct a computer-based Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 on November 29, 2020, in two sessions at various examination centres in 156 cities across the country.

The CAT result 2020 is expected to be released in the second week of January 2021.

According to the official notification, the “CAT 2020 process is to be conducted taking into account the COVID-19 crisis. The information provided by the CAT website is contingent upon the decisions and directions issued from time to time by the Central & State governments and IIMs. Candidates are advised to regularly check the CAT website for further information.”

CAT 2020-21 Exam Pattern:

The CAT exam will be of 180 minutes. The paper will consist of three sections.

• Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
• Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
• Section III: Quantitative Ability
