The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has already started its online application process for the Civil Services prelims exam in the month of February and the online registration window likely to close on 18th March, notification stated. Candidates who are interested to apply for the All-India Services and Central Civil Services exam then before submitting your application form read the official notification released by UPSC.
As per the latest notification released by UPSC, ‘a candidate has to fill up his/her name in the application form of Civil Services (preliminary) exam 2019, (CSP 2019 exam) as per mentioned in the records of their School Leaving Board exam certificate.’
The reason behind filling up the name as per mentioned in their school documents will appear the same in their e-admit card of UPSC Civil Services exam.
‘A candidate is also required to upload a scanned copy of his/her photo identity card issued by Government. As required, the candidate will need to carry both e-Admit Card as well as the said Photo Identity Card for the Examination,’ official notification read.
In the notification released by UPSC further state, 'For appearing at the CSP Examination, 2019, the Commission has been receiving queries from those candidates, who have changed their names after leaving the school by adopting due process of law including issue of gazette notification and have obtained valid government issued photo identity card in their changed name resulting in different names in the school leaving board examination certificate and the photo identity card.'
Important dates to remember:
- Last date to submit application form: March 18, 2019
- Date of Preliminary Examination: June 2, 2019
- Civil Services 2019 Main examinations are scheduled to commence from September 20, 2019
- IFS Mains 2019 would be conducted from December 1, 2019
