Missing Snapdeal employee Deepti Sarna back with family

E-commerce firm Snapdeal's employee Dipti Sarna who was missing since Wednesday night is back with her family.

She was traced to Panipat, 36 hours after she went missing from Ghaziabad. Early today she made contact with her parents from Panipat, saying she is safe and is set to return home. Following that her family, which went to the railway station along with the police, met her as she arrived, NDTV reported.

Senior Superintended of Police, Ghaziabad Dharmendra was quoted as saying:

"Ms. Dipti spoke to her parents; soon to join them; we are eagerly awaiting for her return."

However, it is still not clear how she went to Panipat.

The 24-year-old woman was feared abducted on her way home from work as she boarded a shared autorickshaw from Vaishali Metro station to the Ghaziabad bus stand on Wednesday.

While she was way back home, she reportedly called her friend in Ghaziabad that she was in danger.

Snapdeal founder Kunal Bahl earlier said that the organization had been working with the police to help locate her.The company also launched #HelpFindDipti to locate the 24-year-old who went missing from Ghaziabad on Wednesday evening.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had said the case is a big priority for the state police.
