Delhi: Man attempts suicide after stabbing wife to death in Uttam Nagar

In a surprising incident, a 36-year-old man attempted suicide after stabbing his wife to death in Delhi's Uttam Nagar on 11 September, according to a Hindu report.

The deceased was identified as Suman and the accused as Prem.

The accused, according to the police, stabbed his wife using a kitchen knife following an argument.

According to the report, there were at least a dozen wounds on the deceased's body. The post-mortem report is awaited.

The police were informed by neighbours, who rushed outside upon hearing the woman scream.

During the investigation, the police also found multiple stab injuries all over Prem's body.

The couple has two sons aged 12 and eight.
