Virat Kohli is known for his animated gesture and aggressive celebrations. In a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab, Kohli mocked Ravichandran Ashwin over the ‘Mankading’ incident the latter was involved in.
After taking a catch to dismiss Ashwin, Virat Kohli celebration triggered a buzz that the Indian skipper was taking a jibe at Ashwin’s infamous mankading episode. The mankading incident took place in a match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab, when Ashwin run-out Jos Buttler at the non-striker’s end.
Earlier in the same match, Ravichandran Ashwin gave an abusive send-off to Virat Kohli after he was dismissed Mohammed Shami for just 13 runs. In a post-match press conference, Ashwin cleared that the emotions of both the players were out of passion.
Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Kings XI Punjab by 17 runs to win their third consecutive match in the IPL. AB de Villiers played a fantastic knock of 82 runs to help put up 202 runs on board. While Navdeep Saini did an awesome job to restrict the host at 185 runs in 20 overs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore jumped up a spot to seventh position on the points table after the match but moved down again when Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders yesterday. The bottom three teams now have eight points to their name but RCB is at number eight because of their net run rate.
RCB will now play Delhi Capitals at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on April 28. Delhi Capitals won the previous time they met.
