Exactly half a century ago, the West Indies legendary all-rounder Sir Garfield Sobers became the first man in first-class cricket to strike six sixes in an over.

Sir Garfield Sobers achieve this  incredible feat while playing in the English County Championship for Nottinghamshire against Glamorgan in Swasnea.

In his Test career he played 93 games in which he amassed 8032 runs with 26 centuries and 30 half-centuries to his name. Sir Garfield Sobers had made the career best individual score of 365 runs not out.

Current Indian head coach Ravi Shastri was the only one who smashed six sixes in a Ranji match against Baroda in the year 1985. It took 16 years for someone else to duplicate this feat of Sir Garfield Sobers.

The South African star Herschelle Gibbs was the first one to do it in International cricket while Indian left hand batsman Yuvraj Singh was the first one to do it T20Is. Shardul Thakur, Jordan Clarke, Ross Whitely and Ravindra Jadeja make up the others to have achieved this amazing feat.
