Watch: MS Dhoni loses his 'cool' after Deepak Chahar misses an easy catch

MS Dhoni is described as ‘captain cool’ because of the calmness and stiffness he possesses. Dhoni’s on the field attitude shows his mental toughness and strength. But last night ever the ‘captain cool’ lost his cool when his team-mate Deepak Chahar failed to execute an easy catch.

The incident took place in the 17th over when Imran Tahir was bowling his last over. Tahir was hit for a boundary in the previous ball by Rishabh Pant. Pant played a shot at mid-off which was cruising towards the boundary, Deepak Chahar was right below the ball and was ready to catch it but he somehow crossed the rope after catching it. Tahir needed just 1 wicket to reach 25, which would have gotten him the purple cap.

MS Dhoni was furious as you cannot afford to make silly mistakes in an important match like this. Though Deepak Chahar dismissed Pant in the 19th over but the mistake he made cost Imran Tahir the purple cap. Deepak Chahar has the highest wickets in the power play of Indian Premier League 2019.
