Indian wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni who is on the verge of completing 100th stumping has save his own wicket very cleverly during the second ODI played at Pallekele.

MS Dhoni and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has registered a record hundred-run partnership for the eighth wicket to help the visitors secure a 3-wicket win against the hosts Sri Lanka.

In the same match during 35th over of second inning, Sr Lankan bawler Vishwa Fernando alsmost dismissed the-36-year-old batsman.

But Ranchi boy was smart enough to stand still to save his wicket.

MSD with this 99th stumping has already joined Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara's record.

Dhoni achieved this feat in 15th over of Sri Lankan inning as he removed bails comfortably on the Yuzvendra Chahal's delivery.

India will look to continue their winning streak and seal the five-match ODI series when they take on Sri Lanka in the third match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium here on 27th August.

After clinching a comfortable nine-wicket win in the first ODI, Virat Kohli's men had a slight hiccup while chasing a moderate target 231 in the second match.

And therefore, the Indian team cannot afford to take anything for granted despite their dominance in the ongoing tour.
