Watch: Faf du Plessis saves an unsavable boundary, MS Dhoni and team applauds

South African cricketer Faf du Plessis gave an amazing performance with his bat last night but he also contributed on the field. du Plessis showed an unbelievable athleticism as he saved a boundary single-handedly. Faf saved six runs for his team at a crucial moment.

The incident took place in the 19th over when Deepak Chahar came in to bowl. He dismissed Rishabh Pant off his third ball. Amit Mishra wanted to hit the very next ball for boundary but flying Faf came in to his way to save the ball from crossing the rope. du Plessis’ effort was appreciated by all including skipper MS Dhoni.


 

Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets to reach their 8th Indian Premier League finals. CSK will meet Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad on May 12 as they whole world will watch them play for their cities.

Faf du Plessis also played a wonderful knock with his bat as he scored a fantastic half-century followed by Shane Watson’s quick 32-ball 50. The duo proved that they deserve a place in the finals and their age cannot define their performances in big matches.

Chennai Super Kings have won three IPL titles under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and guidance of coach Stephen Fleming. They are the defending champions as they won IPL 2018 after coming back from a two year ban.
