Kings XI Punjab opener Chris Gayle did something hilarious yesterday when he hit a four against his own team while fielding. This is something unheard of, Gayle was running to save a boundary but he ended up hitting one.

The incident took place in the 18th over when Mujeeb Ur Rahman came in to bowl his last one. Kane Williamson was at strike when Rahman bowled the first ball of the over. Williamson hit the ball towards backward point and the 39-year old cricketer started chasing it.

Gayle is not fit enough to dive for the ball so he started chasing it and tried to stop it with his feet but ended up hitting it towards the boundary. The cheerleaders sitting at the back could not hold their laughter and burst into one when they saw the funniest misfield.

Kings XI Punjab lost the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 45 runs. Chris Gayle couldn’t contribute with his bat as he was dismissed for just 4 runs. KL Rahul was the highest run scorer for the visiting team as he hit 79 off 56 balls. Mayank Agarwal was the next best scorer for them as he hit 27 runs off 18 balls.

David Warner was awarded the man of the match trophy for his amazing 81 runs off 56 balls. David Warner played his last match yesterday as he will return to Australia for World Cup preparations.
