Virat Kohli has his eyes on another Test record against West Indies

Speed News Desk | Updated on: 21 August 2019, 15:16 IST

Indian run machine Virat Kohli will be glancing at another milestone when he comes out to bat during the two Test series against the West Indies on Thursday.

Virat Kohli has smashed 18 Test hundreds as Indian captain and needs one more century to equal Australia’s Ricky Ponting’s record of 19 Test centuries as a captain. If Kholi manages to score a hundred at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, both Ricky Ponting and Virat Kohli will be tied at the second spot.

Former South Africa captain Graeme Smith is at the top of the pile with 25 centuries in 109 Test matches, which includes 17 centuries in 56 overseas Tests.

All-inclusive, Virat Kohli has slamed 25 centuties, which comprises six double centuries.

The Men in Blue whitewashed the West Indies in both the T20I and ODI series and are anticipated to do the same in the Test series, which will also see the two heavyweights commence their campaign in World Test Championship.
