Team India to host New Zealand for 3 Tests, 5 ODIs in September

India is all set to host New Zealand for a three-match Test series and five-match ODI series later this year.

The Indian team took to micro blogging website Twitter to announce the schedule in their own way.

Test skipper Virat Kohli wrote, "TeamIndia will begin the home season at one of the oldest venues in the country - KANPUR vs. @BLACKCAPS#IndvNZ 1st Test starts Sept 22."

Batsman Ajinkya Rahane informed about the second Test which will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from September 30.

"History, Passion and Glory - Eden Gardens. It can't get better than this. Let us fill the Eden for #IndvNZ 3rd Test. Starts Oct 8 #TeamIndia," fast bowler Mohammad Shami tweeted.

Meanwhile, Rishi Dhawan and Shikhar Dhawan informed the schedule of the first two ODIs.

"The world's most picturesque stadium - Dharamsala is ready to don the colour clothing #IndvNZ 1st ODI on Oct 16#TeamIndia," Rishi said.

Shikhar said, "The carnival of cricket will reach the national capital on Oct 19. Delhiwallo chalo Kotla to support #TeamIndia. #IndvNZ2nd ODI on Oct 19."

Batsman Mandeep Singh told that the Team India will play the third ODI against Kiwis at Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) in Mohali on Oct 23.

"Support #TeamIndia as Cricket will reach Ranchi on Oct 26. We take on @BLACKCAPS in the 4th ODI at JSCA Stadium #IndvNZ," Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted.

Meanwhile, newly-appointed coach Anil Kumble announced that Visakhapatnam will host the final ODI of the series on October 29.

New Zealand's last tour to India came four years ago, when the side visited the country for two Tests and two T20Is. India went on to win the Test series 2-0 before suffering a 0-1 defeat in the shortest format of the game.
