South African captain Faf Du Plessis after defeating Australia: I think India would be very happy

Team India won their match against Sri Lanka making it one-sided with the amazing performances by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. However, win against Sri Lanka could have only helped India if South Africa, on the other hand, defeated Australia. After team India's win all Indians were hoping South Africa to win the match against Australia.

And guess what! The same happened as South Africa defeated Australia by 10 runs in the league stage. This win of South Africa helped team India to gain the top position in the table. Now team India will play the semi-final against the fourth spot team New Zealand.

In the presentation ceremony, South African skipper Faf du Plessis who also won the man of the match, picked his two favourites for Cricket world cup final. He said that India and Australia can even go all the way to the finals.

 

“I think India would be very happy that we won today… I’d probably say England-India final… I think India and Australia play big games very well. So I’d probably back one of them in the biggest stage of all,” he said in the presentation ceremony.

Now team India's will be playing semi-final with New Zealand at Old Trafford on 9th July and if India wins then the will play final on 14th July at Lords.
