Sachin Tendulkar posts picture with 'Sultan of Swing' after meeting him in England

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar posted a picture on his official Twitter handle with legendary musician Mark Knopfler. Sachin Tendulkar captioned the picture that read, “It was, as always, such a joy to meet @MarkKnopfler for breakfast and chat about music, sports and life! A great musician, human being and truly the Sultan of Swing.”

Mark Knopfler is a British singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and film score composer. He was the lead guitarist, lead singer, and songwriter for the rock band Dire Straits, which he co-founded with his younger brother, David Knopfler, in 1977.


 

Sachin Tendulkar was recently inducted into the ICC Hall of fame and thus he became the sixth Indian cricketer to be included in the list.

Notably, Tendulkar is the only cricketer from the list who has played 200 Test matches. Tendulkar is the only cricketer in the world with 100 international centuries.

Tendulkar made his debut for team India in 1989, he played 200 Test matches and 463 ODIs in the process before retiring in 2013. Tendulkar scored 15,921 runs in Test cricket and 18,426 runs in ODI cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar made his commentary debut in the recently concluded World Cup which was won by the host team England.
