Pakistan Army chief at Lord's was received with slogans after India defeat; see video

Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is at Lord’s stadium to watch World Cup clash against South Africa. General Bajwa was accompanied by Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor. As per reports, General Bajwa is in the United Kingdom on an official visit for meetings with British leadership.

A video is going viral on social media where General Bajwa can be seen standing outside Lord’s stadium with Major General Asif Gafoor. Both of them was there to watch their team play against South Africa. In the video, it can be heard that General Bajwa was welcomed with slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.


Pakistan lost against their arch-rival India by 89 runs (DLS) method in the previous game they play and the match proved to be a one-sided affair for the men in blue.

 

Earlier in the day, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bat first against the Proteas. Batting first Pakistan put up a good score on board as two of their batsmen scored a fantastic half-century. Haris Sohail who was included in the team in place of Shoaib Malik was the highest run-scorer for his side as he hit an amazing 89 off just 59 balls.

Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed demoted himself down the order after facing a lot of criticism from former players and fans. Openers Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman scored 44 runs each, while Babar Azam was dismissed for 69 runs. Pakistan scored 308-7 in 50 overs
