IPL 2019 RR vs KXIP: Chris Gayle becomes fastest to 4,000 IPL runs and also hit his first fifty of the season

Kings XI Punjab batsman Chris Gayle hit an amazing half-century in his first match of the season. Punjab didn’t had the ideal start after losing KL Rahul in the first over off Dhawal Kulkarni but Gayle and Mayank Agarwal made a 50 run partnership stand.  Gayle hit six fours and two sixes to reach the 50 run mark.

Gayle also became the fastest to make 4,000 runs in the Indian Premier League. He broke Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman David Warner's record. Gayle achieved this feat in 114 matches.
