IPL 2018, RR vs SRH, Match Preview: Kane Williamson to take charge over Ajinkya Rahane
Sunrisers Hyderabad will clash with the winners of the first season of IPL, Rajasthan Royals today in the 4th match of IPL 2018. Interestingly both the teams have lost their original captains after the ball-tampering scandal involving Steve Smith and David Warner surfaced in the media.
Notably, Cricket Australia banned the two players for a period of 12 months following their involvement in the tampering fiasco. However, both the teams have appointed their new captains in Ajinkya Rahane and Kane Williamson.
Rajasthan who are back in the IPL after serving a ban of two years will be looking for the title this year. The franchise has now appointed Ajinkya Rahane as the captain for the season; they have also roped in Shane Warne – their title-winning captain – as Team Mentor. At the Player Auction, RR spent liberally and signed up some exciting talent, including the English all-rounder Ben Stokes and the wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler.
